Are you looking for a customized rotary cutter for your donuts and pastries? Practical Baker can help. Using innovative 3D printing technology, Practical Baker can design nearly any shape or size cutter your bakery needs in very little time.

How does it work?

1. Design the concept. You draw the shape you want or work with the Practical Baker team to design the ideal cutter shape for the bakery product you want to produce.

2. Test the concept. Once the design is agreed upon, Practical Baker creates a test mold of the cutter using a 3D printer and lets you try the sample mold in your bakery or Practical Baker's bakery production space. "We use the 3D printing to test the shape results and make sure to compensate for spread in baking or frying before making the final design," said John Stricker, owner, Practical Baker.

3. Adjust the design. To achieve the best appearance in the finished baked product, the cutter mold may need fine-tuning. Practical Baker's team of experts will help you tweak the design, so you achieve the best possible product appearance.

4. Create the finished rotary cutter. After testing with the 3D printed mold, the design is ready to create the finished cutter. Practical Baker will manufacture the rotary cutters in aluminum or food grade plastic, and you'll receive the cutter in two to three weeks from final design approval.

The process is simple, quick and customizable for today's bakeries looking for new ways to differentiate their products and improve production efficiency.

"We're always looking to help the baking industry solve production needs, especially bakeries looking for customization," Stricker said.
